Biography
Author and musician Thomas J.R. Dearn was born in the Black Country area of the West Midlands and is author of the historical crime series Once Upon A Time In The Black Country. He is particularly influenced by movies such as The Godfather, Goodfellas, Once Upon A Time In America, Get Carter, Legend, The Krays and the TV series Peaky Blinders. His favourite writers include Mario Puzo, Ted Lewis, Nicholas Pileggi, Bernard Cornwell, James Herbert and James Joyce.

 

Thomas lives in Worcestershire with his wife, three children and Rottweiler/German shepherd cross. He supports Aston Villa and Halesowen town football clubs and has a strong interest in early to mid twentieth century history and is a classic car enthusiast.
